I owned my first Aussie
in 1964 she was an older unregistered Blue Merle Female we
called Lady. Although when we lost her in in 1965, I never forgot her
personality that I became so fond of. I was not able to find the
breed again until 1981 when I met and married Alan Applegate who had
been raising National Stockdog registered dogs since 1955. Alan had
two old Aussies, Chet and Pandy they were 12 and 14 years old
respectively when I met Alan. When they died in 1983, we were lucky as
the Breeder was Laura Shivers of Xanadu Kennel was there to help us
get started with ASCA registered dogs, and my show career.
We began as all kennels do from a good start from another Australian
Shepherd Breeder. She was wonderful as far as helping us get
started showing our dogs and helping to educate us in the correct way
to go about breeding this wonderful breed of dog. We in
1984 purchased a little Blue dog named Applegate's Buddy El of Xanadu
and called him "Buddy." He was a wonderfully happy dog we
got a lot of pleasure from and some wonderful puppies. A few Months
Later we bought a little Red Tri Puppy who became CH Czers Rojo Quisto of Applegate our first
Conformation Champion Click on Photo's to

Moonlight)
She was bred by Polly and Sparky Lisle now of Halfway
Oregon. Although we did not
breed "PIC", she was Our Pick Puppy from CH Quisto's first litter, she carried Our Kennel Name.
She was out first female Champion and we
loved her so. I finished Pic's ASCA Championship when she was Four Years
old. |

ASCA Champion and CD he was shown to his Championship by Tina
Mistretta. He was the Mistretta's Pick Puppy from Pic's first
litter by ( CH Mistretta's Mi Amigo Magica CD X CH
Applegate's My Fair Lady Pic) and carried the Mistretta Kennel
Name. He Was Owned and loved at his death by Kim
Anderson of Indiana.
